How it Works

Smart Water, Smart “Core”
Aquasana Whole House Water Filters uses a unique three-stage filtration process to maximize water purification effectiveness and reduce up to 97% of chlorine found in untreated household water. Certified NSF 42, Aquasana Whole House Water Filters deliver quality pure water throughout the household, from the kitchen to the bathroom.

Phase 1: High-density 5-micron pre-filter
With a pore structure of 5 microns, the pre-filter removes water impurities and rust particles in the water to prolong the service life and efficiency of the main filter.

Phase 2: High-tech zinc mineral alloy
Fine particles from the high-purity copper and zinc alloy render contaminants into harmless substances, inhibit bacteria and algae growth, and balance the water pH.

Phase 3: High-purity active carbonized coconut shell medium
High concentrations of activated carbonized coconut shell effectively adsorb chlorine, chloramine compounds, and filter chemical compounds such as herbicides, pesticides, chloroform, THMs, and other volatile compounds (VOCs).

Carbofuran	A highly toxic pesticide, causes excessive secretion of saliva and tears, restlessness and muscle tremors.
Atrazine	A herbicide, causes skin and eye irritation in humans.
